I hope everyone had a fun weekend! This is what we will be doing this week:
Language Arts: Last week we were introduced to Eagle Eye. This strategy helps us decode challenging words by looking at the first letter of the word, then looking at the picture for a clue. Students are encouraged to practice this strategy when doing their home reading. They should have brought home a bookmark that explains this strategy. This week we will continue working through our different stations and explore a new Robert Munsch book!
Math: This week our main focus will be learning about the greater than and less than symbols. Last week we discussed how the symbol looks like a crocodile mouth. Remember the crocodile always eats the larger number! Some of us will start to learn about rounding numbers.
Social Studies: This week we will finish researching famous Canadians. Later in the week we will begin to learn about Terry Fox!
Science: Mr. T is back and will be doing paper mache planets with you!
*** Please bring back your signed IPP & the envelope***
Let's have a great week!
