Hope everyone had a great week, My family welcomed our new baby boy, Harrison Robert Thouret, so we are not getting too much sleep around the Thouret house.

We have been focusing on some specific areas within Science, Math, LA, and SS this month. We will be sending home option forms for term 2 and as you remember you have selected your choices and won't need to worry about enrolling.

Some activities for you to try at home...
We have continued building on our pre-christmas skills. This month we will focus on building necessary skills to transition well into our semester two options which will start early next month.
Math - Spatial focus - Word problems and analyzing which type of operation we need to use to solve the problems.
LA - Paragraphs, short stories, and editing have been a focus for this month.
SS - Compass, mapping, and cartography
Science - Students are covering simple machines and their usage followed by a Rube Goldberg experiment. .
