This week at Nose Creek is French Cultural week!
We will be singing French songs, and eating delicious Maple syrup treats.
*Tuesday we will celebrate our 30 books party with Ice cream sundaes
*Lunar New year decorations and crafts will be covered this week as Saturday is the big day.
This week at NCS - PLP III
Monday Jan 16th - Martin Luther King Jr. Day - We will talk about social equality and who MLK was and some of his views
Tuesday Jan 17th - We have a student celebrating his 13th Bday with us!
Wednesday Jan 18th - Winnie the Pooh day - Wear Yellow or Red.
Friday Jan 20th - Our group has achieved our 30 book goal and we will celebrate our first Book Party.
We will be working on
Math - Multiplication / Division principles - Word problems
Science - Chemistry - Pure substances vs Mixtures vs Solutions with a Science lab on Tuesday!
Socials - Country project - Finding famous people from our selected Country
LA - Continuing our work developing our writing skills and reading.
Students are continuing work on the following units this week -
Math - Number, problem solving, multiplcation and division
Science - Chemistry, with our first Lab of the year.
Socials - Country projects
LA- Reading, writing, and guided novel studies
This week was highlighted by the Market where the Grade 9s sold food and goods to the students.
Next week we are looking forward to learning about Martin Luther King and his ideas about social equality.
We have started our Chemistry unit and I have attached some links that I would like for our students to work on.
